Iowa State men’s basketball will face Mississippi State as part of its non-conference schedule, according to a report by the Field of 68’s Jeff Goodman.

It will be part of one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the country when it’s all said and done.

The Cyclones are slated to play in the Players Era Tournament – a new MTE designed to give players NIL bonuses.

Many of the tournament’s details haven’t been announced yet, but the list of teams includes Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Creighton, Gonzaga, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Rutgers, San Diego State, St. Joes, St. Johns, Syracuse, Tennessee and UNLV.

Iowa State will also travel to Purdue before its annual Cy-Hawk matchup with Iowa.
