Big 12 Conference commissioner Brett Yormark has agreed to a three-year contract extension, according to multiple reports.

Yormark originally agreed to an initial deal that lasted through 2027 when he took the job in 2022. This extension will keep Yormark in the position through 2030.

Through his time with the league, Yormark helped the Big 12 lay a foundation in the midst of conference realignment that saw Texas and Oklahoma leave for the SEC.

Yormark then secured a TV deal and aided in adding Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State and Utah to the Big 12, along with the additions of BYU, Houston, Cincinnati and UCF.

The new contract extension is a vote of confidence in the commissioner from Big 12 presidents, that are on board for another five years under the leadership of Yormark.
