Former Iowa State star Bridget Carleton is returning to the Minnesota Lynx on a two-year contract, ESPN reported Wednesday.

The report has since been confirmed by Winsidr.com, securing a deal that will keep Carleton just a few hours away from Iowa State fans in and around Ames.

Carleton is entering her sixth season in the league, and has played a total of 136 games during her career.

The Canada native averaged just 3.2 points per game on 15.1 minutes per game during the regular season a year ago. However, in her three playoff games during the 2023 year, Carleton put up 8.3 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game while averaging 24 minutes per contest.

The Lynx’s 2024 regular season is scheduled to start Tuesday, May 14 as Minnesota travels to Seattle. The two team’s will square off again in Minnesota’s home opener at the Target Center on Friday, May 17.
