Recruiting: Cyclones earn second commitment off weekend visit this week

Iowa State earned its second commitment from the past weekend’s football recruiting visits on Tuesday.

Anthony Cunningham Jr., a 6-foot-4, 260-pound defensive lineman in the 2023 class, announced on social media that he would join in committing to the program.

Cunningham Jr. comes out of Belleville, Ill. and holds offers from Minnesota, Arkansas State and Southeast Missouri.

He joins Jason Hammond Jr. as defensive linemen that committed this week and becomes the third member of the 2023 class.

Cunningham Jr. is a rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports and is slated as the No. 29 prospect out of Illinois.
