RECRUITING: Cyclones add commitment from KC defensive tackle

Iowa State has landed its second commitment of the week.

The Cyclones added Kansas City defensive tackle Howard Brown on Thursday when the three-star prospect made his pledge public in a video on Twitter.

Brown is considered the No. 52 defensive tackle prospect in the country and the No. 18 player in the state of Missouri by 247Composite. The 6-foot-2, 288-pound prospect also held offers from Kansas, Tulsa, Akron, Northern Illinois and a handful of FCS programs.

Iowa State now holds seven commitments in its 2021 class, including recent additions Robert Army and Aidan Ralph, who are both projected to play on the defensive side of the ball. The class is currently ranked No. 24 nationally and is the No. 5 class in the Big 12.
