KICK TIME: Iowa State vs. UNI will be nationally televised

Here is some good and bad news, depending on how you look at it.

Iowa State’s season opener vs. UNI on Aug. 31 will be nationally televised on FS1. That is great news in the sense that Cyclone football is officially on the map of national television networks as a stand-alone brand.

The bad news is that the game will kick off at 11 a.m., as Iowa State announced on Thursday morning.

Hey, at least if there’s a lightning storm, we’ll have the rest of the day to wait it out this year.
