Just a couple of quick basketball recruiting notes as we head into the weekend.

— Xavier Foster, the top-ranked Iowa prospect in the class of 2020, will be unofficially visiting Iowa State for its 1 p.m. tip vs. Oklahoma. Foster, a 6-foot-9 prospect out of Oskalooska, is a top-100 recruit in that class with high-major offers from the likes of Iowa, Creighton, Illinois, and Texas A&M. He recently took a visit to Kansas.

Some 2019 news…

Iowa State assistant coach Daniyal Robinson recruited the city of St. Louis on Friday.

He watched guard Mario McKinney, a 6-foot-2 prospect who boasts offers from Auburn, DePaul, Illinois, Iowa and Kansas State.

Another St. Louis kid to get a look is E.J. Liddell, a 6-foot-7 prospect with offers from Iowa State, Iowa, Illinois, DePaul, Illinois State, Ohio State, Kansas State, Marquette, Missouri, Florida and Northwestern.

Finally, Iowa State will watch small forward T.J. Hargrove on Friday night.
