MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Iowa State’s secondary will be severely depleted for today’s 11:30 a.m. Libery Bowl game against Memphis.

Iowa State football spokesperson Mike Green said this morning that two safeties will not play  — senior captain Kamari Cotton-Moya and senior Evrett Edwards.

Cotton-Moya was suspeneded for the game. Edwards was deemed ineligible.

Obviously, both absences hurt ISU deeply, but Cotton-Moya’s is particularly pronounced.

He totaled 60 tackles this season while battling injuries and led the Cyclones with three interceptions.
