Lonzo Ball’s 35 points in a 103-102 Laker victory over the 76ers in Las Vegas Summer League action will rightfully grab all of the headlines but hey, our guy had a great night on Wednesday too.
Former Cyclone Matt Thomas played 18 minutes, went 2-for-3 from 3-point range and had 10 points in the L.A. victory. Thomas also collected four rebounds and two assists in the win.
Thomas is viewed as a long shot to make the Lakers roster but he could possibly be playing for a spot in the NBA’s G-League.
Regardless, he will make money somewhere next year.
Pumped for @CycloneMBB‘s Matt Thomas. Had terrific senior year & playing well tonight for @Lakers. Easily a G League guy.

Without question though, this was Matt’s best game as a pro.
The Lakers will next play the Cavs on Thursday night at 10:30.
