Iowa State’s awesome home court advantage in basketball is a big deal that the football program, who likes to use it in recruiting. Matt Campbell and his staff will do just that on Saturday when the Cyclones host Oklahoma at 5 p.m.

In addition to a handful of juniors from around the state of Iowa, five specific prospects stand out as far as guys who will be taking unofficial visits in Ames this weekend.

They are…

Trevor Downing, OL, Creston, Iowa – This might be Iowa State’s highest priority prospect right now in the class of 2018. Matt Campbell and Alex Golesh recently attended one of Downing’s basketball games. He also has offers from Iowa, Minnesota and Missouri.

Brennan Armstrong, QB, Shelby, Ohio –  Another high priority 2018 prospect, who has offers from North Carolina, Virginia, Cincinnati, Minnesota, Kent State, Ohio, Toledo and Western Michigan, as well as the Cyclones.

Marquan McCall, OL, Oak Park, Mich. – A four-star, 6-foot-3, 280-pound guard who also has offers from Michigan, Michigan State and Tennessee just to name a few.

Dwan Mathis, QB, Oak Park, Mich. (2019) – At 6-foot-3, 175-pounds,  Mathis has nice size for a prospect his age. He also claims offers from Kentucky, Cincinnati, Akron and Toledo.

Tyler Endres, OL, Norwalk, Iowa (2019) – Finally, add another 2019 product, Norwalk offensive lineman Tyler Endres to the list. To my knowledge, Iowa State is his only offer at this time.
