Iowa State signee Lindell Wigginton’s Oak Hill Academy team will play on ESPN2 on Thursday night. Undefeated Oak Hill, the No. 3 team in the USA Today’s Super 25, will take on No. 2 Sierra Canyon at 8 p.m. central time.
Wigginton leads the Warriors in scoring during the team’s first 13 games at 16.6 per game. He’s shooting 46.9 percent from the field and 31.1 percent from 3-point range.
The 6-foot-2 guard is also adding 3.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and more than one steal per game.
Sierra Canyon is led by the No. 1 player in the class of 2018, according to 247Composite, in 6-foot-11 Marvin Bagley III. Its roster also includes UCLA commit Cody Riley (No. 35 in 2017), Arizona State commit Remy Martin (No. 116 in 2017) and San Diego State commit Adam Seiko.
Oak Hill’s loaded roster also includes Kansas signee Billy Preston (No. 12 in 2017), Ole Miss signee Devontae Shuler (No. 100 in 2017), Creighton commit Tyshon Alexander (No. 107 in 2017) and 2018 four-star forward David McCormack (No. 36 in 2018).
Needless to say, Thursday night’s game will be a big one for the high school hoops landscape.
