Spring football is heating up this week and Matt Campbell’s staff is starting to heat up on the recruiting trail. Class of 2017 three-star wide receiver Josh Johnson tweeted his committment to Iowa State Monday afternoon.
Johnson, a native of Maumelle, Ark., decommitted from Indiana earlier Monday morning. He is rated as a three-star prospect by 247 and the No. 126 wide receiver in the class. Rivals.com has Johnson ranked as the No. 88 receiver in the class.
The 5-foot-11-inch, 170 pounder also held offers from Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Kansas State, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt and several others.
He joins Waterloo, West quarterback Devon Moore and Cedar Rapids, Washington linebacker O’Rien Vance as commits in the 2017 class.
