ISU wrestling coach Kevin Jackson has gone on record and said once his team gets back several key missing pieces, the second half of the 2015-16 season will like a lot different than the first half.
On Sunday, Jackson received some good news on one of those key missing pieces: 197-pound redshirt freshman Marcus Harrington.
Harrington has been out all season so far dealing with a legal issue that occurred on Aug. 22. But when it comes time for Iowa State to compete at the Midland Championships on Dec. 29-30 in Evanston, Illinois, Harrington will be making his return to the mat for the Cyclones as he was reinstated by the university and will be making his season debut.
Last season during Harrington’s first year in Ames, he went 19-5 unattached, including capturing the 2015 Grandview Open Championship at 197-pounds.
