Football: UNI will kick at 7, Cy-Hawk game to start at 3:30

 AMES, Iowa – Iowa State’s first two football games of the 2015 season have kickoff times and TV assignments set, announced today by the Big 12 Conference.

Iowa State’s season-opener vs. UNI in Jack Trice Stadium (Sept. 5) will be played under the lights (7 p.m. CT kickoff) on the Cyclones.tv channel on Mediacom. Cyclones.tv subscribers can also the view the game online. A pre-game show on both the digital network and Mediacom will lead into the telecast.

The Iowa State-UNI game is the debut of the newly renovated Jack Trice Stadium. The South End Zone project is expected to be completed, improving capacity of the stadium to 61,000 and giving Iowa State fans one of the finest college football atmospheres in the nation. 

The project will close in the south end zone with permanent upper and lower seating bowl. The structure will house a new two-story premium club space (Sukup End Zone Club) and include an additional HD-quality video board/sound system and a connection of the east and west concourses.

Jack Trice Stadium will host the annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series clash, as Iowa State plays host to intrastate rival Iowa the following weekend (Sept. 12). Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. on Fox.

Iowa State averaged 52,197 fans per game in 2014, the fourth-best season attendance total in school history. ISU sold over 40,000 season tickets for the third-straight season a year ago and over 50,000 fans have attended a game in Jack Trice Stadium for a school-record 26-straight games.
