Iowa State’s basketball roster for the 2014-15 season is now official as Oregon State transfer Hallice Cooke committed to the Cyclones on Monday night, according to a source.
Cooke, a who averaged 8.2 points per game as a freshman in the Pac-12, will fill Iowa State’s 13th and final scholarship on the 2014-15 squad. Expect some sort of official announcement of Cooke signing withe program on Tuesday.
This commitment comes as no surprise. Cooke officially visited Iowa State earlier this month. Since then, he gave St. Joseph’s and Dayton visits as well. All along though, Iowa State was considered a strong front-runner.
Cooke will have three years of eligibility when beginning in the 2015-16 season. Due to NCAA transfer rules, he will be forced to sit out next season.
