NEW YORK – Iowa State junior forward Dustin Hogue was named to the All-East Region team Sunday afternoon.Hogue joined Most Outstanding PlayerShabazz Napier (UCONN),DeAndre Daniels (UCONN), Gary Harris (Michigan State) andAdreian Payne (Michigan State) on the team.
Hogue earned a spot on the team after scoring a career-high 34 points in the Cyclones’ East region semifinal loss to UCONN. The Yonkers, N.Y., native was 15-of-19 from the field and grabbed six rebounds in his return to his home state. He also grabbed a pair of steals.
Hogue’s 34 points tied an ISU tournament record, matching Dedric Willoughby and Lafester Rhodes.
