ISU target Marvin Clark narrowing in on decision

According to recruiting analyst Adam Zagoria at, one of Iowa State’s 2014 recruiting targets will be making his decision in March

Marvin Clark, a 6-foot-6 wing out of Bel Aire (Kan.) Sunrise Christian, is that man. He officially visited Iowa State during a Feb. 1 victory over Oklahoma.

“This style of play fits me perfectly,” Clark told during his visit. “I am a lefty. I can shoot it. Coach Hoiberg lets his guys go. I really like that. He knows what it takes to get to the next level and that’s something that stands out to me.”

Clark recently told that his decision will come down to: Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas State, Ole Miss and Seton Hall. Clark has scheduled an official visit to Indiana for March 2. He has already visited Seton Hall and Kansas State.

On the surface, Clark looks like a versatile hybrid type of player that Fred Hoiberg has proven to be fond of over the years. Iowa State assistant coach Matt Abdelmassih is serving as Clark’s primary recruiter.
