Rivals.com released its new rankings for the 2013 football recruiting class on Tuesday and shockingly (SARCASM ALERT – SARCASM ALERT), Iowa State commitment Allen Lazard is now ranked as the fifth-best wide receiver in the class.
Lazard, who attends Urbandale High School in Des Moines, caught 40 passes for 928 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior. He was previously Rivals’ top-ranked wide receiver in the class.
Is this simply a case of other guys getting better and jumping ahead of the future Cyclone or does the popular theory that Iowa State commits get bumped by recruiting services come into play here?
