AMES — Iowa State picked up more than a Big 12 victory on Saturday night. 

The Cyclones added a new member to the football program in Vernell Trent, a 6-foot-4, 255-pound defensive end out of Jacksonville, (Fla.) Forrest. 

Trent tweeted this:
