The Iowa State football program has picked up its first verbal commitment for the class of 2013.
Early Friday evening, Perris (Calif.) Citrus Hill quarterback Trevor Hodge tweeted the news.
"Just committed to ISU !!!!! Continuing the same Dream but @ Iowa State Cyclone," read the tweet.
Hodge is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound dual-threat quarterback who led Citrus Hill to a 12-1 record a season ago. Hodge threw for over 2,000 yards and 16 touchdowns with nearly a thousand yards on the ground as well.
According to his profile at Rivals.com, Iowa State is Hodge’s only scholarship offer at this time.
