Last night, Iowa State’s 2010 prized recruit Melvin Ejim told me that he was going to take the wait and see approached regarding the Cyclones next basketball coach.

He did that and tonight, Ejim told me that he will in fact be a Cyclone next season, after hearing the news that Fred Hoiberg will be his next coach.

“I’m excited that we have a new coach who has a great reputation, especially in Iowa,” Ejim said. “Everyone keeps telling me that he is the mayor so I want to go see that for myself. I am excited to get to Ames and see what happens.”
