AMES — Apparently ESPN college basketball analyst Fran Fraschilla was in town this weekend.

Newsflash: The veteran commentator loves him some Cyclones.

Here’s what he had to say about the trip. Enjoy.

My thoughts on Iowa State: While Ejim/Kane will be missed, talent level from 1 to 9 better this year. McKay is 1st rim protector Fred’s had.

Monte Morris will end up elite playmaking PG nationally. Doesn’t have to score but has weapons. Niang is Niang. Nader is explosive scorer.

Cyclones have 6/7 guys who can get 20 on a given night. Bryce-Dejuan Jones didn’t shoot great but high level scorer who’s perfect for Fred.

Chemistry and defense are keys for another Sweet 16 run for Iowa State. It’s first time under Fred that they matchup athletically with KU.
