For the second week in a row, Iowa State senior DeAndre Kane has been named the Big 12’s Player of the week.

Kane narrowly missed a triple-double in Iowa State’s New Years Eve victory over Northern Illinois by recording 16 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds. In Saturday’s 73-62 win over Texas Tech, Kane had 15 points with six assists and two rebounds.

Kane has been awarded a Big 12 player or newcomer of the week award four times already this season.

Iowa State will host Baylor on Tuesday at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
