Iowa State captain Rocco Becht has informed Iowa State’s new coaching staff that he intends to enter the transfer portal, reported first by ESPN’s Pete Thamel. Becht has one year of eligibility remaining.
In three seasons as the starter, Becht threw for over 9,200 yards while completing 60.7% of his passes, leading the Cyclones to a 26-13 record and the program’s first ever 10 win season.
Off the field, Becht made an impact in the Central Iowa community, most notably using his own NIL money to host a free football camp in Perry the summer after a tragic school shooting.
With Becht’s intentions to head to the portal, attention turns to true freshman Alex Masnke and redshirt freshman Connor Moberly as the other two quarterbacks on the roster who have played in Ames.
Stay up to date with all of the moves in our transfer portal tracker.
