For the first time since 2007, Iowa State is wearing the Tornado Cy logo on their helmet.
The Cyclones will debut this new-look helmet against Kansas on Senior Day without tertiary blue on the logo.
The “bird in a blender” or “whirly bird” was Iowa State’s primary logo from 1995-2007 and seems to be making it’s return as an alternate for the first time under Matt Campbell.
