Iowa State men’s basketball earned a commitment from 2026 French forward Dorian Rinaldo Komlan, a 6-foot-10 (7’3+ wingspan) center who currently plays for Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio.
During the 2024-25 season, Komlan played for Limoges Espoirs U21 in France, where he averaged 11.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while shooting just under 55% from the field.
In a recent interview with Tipton, Komlan described his game:
“First thing I bring is energy on the defensive side. I hate getting scored on. I can defend the 4 and 5. On offense, I’m a modern four man. My slashing ability in the half court and rim running in full court is what I am best at. Once the three ball is better, that will be the next level.”
He also shared his thoughts on Iowa State’s fan base:
“Cyclone fans are used to a winning culture the last five years, and I want to only add to that. I’m not from the U.S.; I’m from France, so I’m still learning the system of the NCAA. But one thing I learned fast is that Iowa State has an incredible fan base — that was obvious on the visit. Their energy and enthusiasm were amazing to see.”
Komlan is the fourth commitment to T.J. Otzelberger’s 2026 class. He joins four-star guard Christian Wiggins, four-star forward Jackson Kiss and three-star guard Yusef Gray Jr.
