After leading the conference in scoring as a sophomore, Iowa State star center Audi Crooks has been picked as the Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year by the league’s coaches.

Crooks averaged 23.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in 2024-25 in her second year. Crooks increased both her efficiency and volume from the field as well.

Crooks earns a spot on the Preseason All-Big 12 team and is joined by teammate Addy Brown. The junior forward averaged 15.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game in 2024-25 and was selected to the All-Big 12 Second Team.

Led by Crooks and Brown, Iowa State has been picked to finish second in the Big 12 by the leagues coaches, receiving two first place votes. TCU, the defending champion, has been picked to win the league once again.

Iowa State gets the season underway on Nov. 3 against St. Thomas (MINN) at 11 a.m. inside Hilton Coliseum.
