Iowa State Football has found its next running backs coach, hired North Dakota State offensive coordinator and running backs coach Jake Landry, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Landry joined the Bison last season and played a key role in leading the program to a national championship this past season.

Before NDSU, Landry was the offensive coordinator at St. Thomas, and also spent time at Temple and Northern Illinois.

This marks the second consecutive year that Iowa State has hired an NDSU offensive coordinator in the position.

Last offseason, the Cyclones brought in Tyler Roehl, who had spent over a decade with the Bison, to their coaching staff.

Roehl is not the tight ends coach in the NFL for the Detroit Lions.

The Cyclones are set to open spring practices in the coming weeks, where Landry will begin working with a young and talented group of running backs.
