The following is a press release from Iowa State Athletics Communications.

WACO, Texas – Iowa State (19-10, 10-6 Big 12) lost 52-67 at No. 19 Baylor (24-5, 14-2 Big 12) Saturday afternoon.

Iowa State was held to 34 percent shooting and committed 21 turnovers leading to 26 Baylor points. Baylor had three in double figures led by Yaya Felder with 15.

Audi Crooks broke her own single-season field goal school record (258) with six field goals on the day to now hold 262. Crooks had her 61st game in a row with double-digit points totaling a team-leading 14.

Addy Brown led the game with 10 rebounds, also totaling eight points and seven assists.

How it Happened

Right out of the first media timeout, Iowa State tied up the game for the third time at 8-8 but the Bears followed with a 7-0 run. Kelsey Joens then stopped the run with a wide-open 3, making it 15-11 with 1:29 left in the first. That score would hold into the second.

Baylor held ISU scoreless for the first two minutes of the frame as the Bears extended a lead of eight. With the score at 21-12, ISU brought things back within four after an Alisa Williams and-1 but BU’s Felder responded with back-to-back 3s preventing the comeback to continue. At the half, Baylor led 33-23.

The home team kept its lead at 10 midway through the third with a score of 41-31. With four minutes on the clock, Baylor opened up its largest lead (46-31) on the Bears’ sixth 3-pointer. That advantage would grow to 19 heading into the final quarter.

Crooks continued adding to her single-season field goal record going 3-for-3 to start the fourth quarter as the scoreboard read 61-47, while Baylor would go on to win it by 15.
