Former Cyclone Georges Niang has been traded away from the Cleveland Cavaliers and will now play for the Atlanta Hawks.

The deal was made by Atlanta, who is sending forward De’Andre Hunter to Cleveland for Niang, Chris Lavert, three second-round draft picks and two swaps, according to the report from Shams Charania.

Niang is in his ninth season in the NBA, and had appeared in every game during his time with the Cavaliers.

The former Cyclone averaged 8.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game with Cleveland this season.

Niang goes from the Eastern Conference leading Hawks to Atlanta, who’s 23-28 this season, sitting at ninth in the standings.

The Hawks will take the floor again on Friday in a home matchup against Milwaukee.
