AMES — Iowa State’s defensive line will be down at least one body in the Dec. 28 Pop-Tarts Bowl matchup against No. 13 Miami, as veteran Tyler Onyedim announced Saturday that he’s entering the transfer portal.

The 6-4, 295-pound redshirt junior played in every game for the No. 18 Cyclones in the past three seasons, and tallied 75 total tackles, two sacks, and one fumble recovery in the past two seasons.

Onyedim used a single sentence to announce the news on X: “Thank you Iowa State for everything, I plan to enter the portal for my last year of eligibility.”
