Iowa State dropped from No. 5 to No. 6 in the Associated Press Men’s Basketball Poll, released on Monday.

The Cyclones are one of nine Big 12 teams that either appear in the rankings or are receiving votes. Kansas remained at No. 1, while Cincinnati and Baylor were at No. 14 and No. 15, along with No. 17 Houston.

Arizona State, West Virginia, BYU and Texas Tech all received votes.

Connor will be covering women’s basketball for Cyclone Fanatic during the 2018-19 season. He is currently a junior enrolled at Iowa State and is studying journalism at Iowa State’s Greenlee School of Journalism.
