Former Iowa State star Hason Ward has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the defending NBA Champions Boston Celtics.
The Celtics are signing Hason Ward to an exhibit-10 contract, per sources. The big man, who played high school ball at Central High School in Springfield, was on Iowa State’s Sweet 16 squad last season after starting his college career at VCU.

An Exhibit 10 deal is a minimum-salary, one-year contract that doesn’t count against the cap unless Ward makes the regular season roster.
In his final season with the Cyclones, Ward played in 28 games, averaging 15.9 minutes per game. He averaged 6.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 62.8% from the field.
Ward has spent time with the Sacramento King Summer League team and the Scarborough Shooting Stars in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) before signing with the Boston Celtics.
