Iowa State coach Matt Campbell updated media members Tuesday on where his team was at on the injury front ahead of Saturday’s Iowa State-Baylor game at Jack Trice Stadium (6:30 p.m. FOX).

Fullback/tight end Stevo Klotz: He’s doing a lot better according to Campbell. Klotz traveled to Houston but wasn’t quite ready to play. Campbell said he’s close to ready to ‘rock and roll for the weekend.’

Wide receiver Jaylin Noel: The senior wideout didn’t play for a majority of the second half in Saturday’s 20-0 win over Houston, but Campbell said that was due to cramping and that he’ll be good to go Saturday.

Linebacker Will McLaughlin: “Will is working to be back. I expect him back, but he’s still not ready to be back yet. I think he’s closer than further away to being back on the (field).”

Linebacker John Klosterman: “John’s in a tough spot. We still don’t know exactly the depth of it. John will not play this weekend. I would say that he’d be out for the foreseeable future. Whether that’s season-ending or not, we’ll probably figure out by the end of the week.

Defensive back Drew Surges: Campbell said that he thinks Surges is close to coming back and that his hope is that he will be available Saturday. Surges did not travel to Houston, but did practice last week and this week.
