Preseason college football magazines are hitting the shelves, and along with them come preseason all-conference and all-American teams.

There are a few discrepancies between how many teams each publication puts out, but the published selections are all below in full.

Phil Steele

Jeremiah Cooper was named to the Phil Steele all-American 4th team as a defensive back as well.

1st team: Jayden Higgins (WR), Ben Brahmer (TE), Beau Freyler (DB), Malik Verdon (DB)

2nd team: Jaylin Noel (WR), Jarrod Hufford (OL), Tyler Miller (OL), Caleb Bacon (LB), Jeremiah Cooper (DB)

3rd team: Jalen Travis (OL), J.R. Singleton (OL), Joey Petersen (DE), Tyler Perkins (P)

4th team: Rocco Becht (QB), Abu Sama (RB), Jaylin Noel (KR)

Athlon Sports

Jeremiah Cooper was named to the Athlon all-American 4th team as a defensive back as well.

1st team: Jeremiah Cooper (S), Beau Freyler (S)

2nd team: Jarrod Hufford (OL), Jaylin Noel (WR), Jayden Higgins (WR), Joey Petersen (DL), J.R. Singleton (DL), Caleb Bacon (LB), Myles Purchase (CB)

3rd team: Abu Sama (RB), Ben Brahmer (TE), Domonique Orange (DL), Malik Verdon (S)

4th team: Will McLaughlin (LB), Tyler Perkins (P), Jaylin Noel (PR)

Connor will be covering women’s basketball for Cyclone Fanatic during the 2018-19 season. He is currently a junior enrolled at Iowa State and is studying journalism at Iowa State’s Greenlee School of Journalism. Connor also covers a variety of sports around the state of Iowa, including Indoor football and motorsports for Last Word on Sports. He also appears on-air four times a week covering high school football for 1460 KXnO, college football for his own podcast, and professional sports for 88.5 KURE – Iowa State’s student radio station.
