Iowa State’s Kayden Fish entered the transfer portal after the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.

Tuesday, however, Fish announced he would return to Ames, filling the program’s final open (scholarship) roster spot for 2024-25.

Fish played in four games for the Cyclones before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury.

The Kansas City native recorded six points, six rebounds and one assist before the injury forced him off of the court.

Fish received a medical redshirt and has four years of eligibility remaining.
