Iowa State has earned a commitment from a highly touted offensive lineman out of Princeton in Jalen Travis.

Travis announced the news over social media Thursday, following a visit to Ames earlier this month.

At Princeton, Travis was routinely an all-conference lineman in the Ivy League. He comes to Ames with one year of eligibility remaining.

Iowa State originally recruited the Minneapolis native out of high school, before he ultimately ended up out East.

Travis, a 6-foot-9, 315-pound player, was high on Iowa State’s priority list this off-season. If all goes according to plan, he could be a day 1 starter on Iowa State’s offensive line.
