According to a report from Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports, one of the later moves in the conference realignment process has been completed by Arizona.

The Big 12 Conference, Thursday, met to approve the application to join from Arizona, according to Dellenger:

The move would go into effect to begin the 2024 athletics season, but no details have been confirmed.

The Pac-12 Conference, reportedly, has been through meetings over the recent days, attempting to hold together the remaining nine member schools.

A grant of rights is also reportedly set to be presented in a Friday meeting, however the conference has repeatedly boasted deadlines and target dates for such deals to get done with nothing locked in for future seasons and beyond.

Part of the lack of a deal also hindered the conference in retaining some of its original members.

We will have more updates on this as they become available.
