Iowa State guard Caleb Grill did not practice on Monday ahead of his team’s top 15 matchup with Kansas State set for Tuesday night.

Grill tweaked his back during his team’s 78-67 win over Texas a week ago at Hilton Coliseum and played limited minutes during Saturday’s 61-59 loss to Oklahoma State.

Coach T.J. Otzelberger said that Iowa State, ‘will act in the best interest of (Grill’s) health and safety,’ during his media availability ahead of the game.

The Kansas native averages a team-high 32.5 minutes per game and is scoring 10.3 points per game. He averages a 37.5% mark from the 3-point line, as well.

No. 12 Iowa State and No. 13 Kansas State are set to tip off at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday on ESPNU.
