A pair of former Cyclones were selected in this year’s XFL Supplemental Draft as Kamilo Tongamoa and Hakeem Butler were each selected in the first five rounds this week.

Tongamoa was selected as the 15th overall pick and will play for the San Antonio Brahmas. Butler was picked 33rd and will play for the St. Louis Battlehawks.

Each player was on Iowa State’s 2017 Liberty Bowl roster as well as the 2018 Alamo Bowl squad.

Butler spent time with the Arizona Cardinals as well as the Philadelphia Eagles before the draft.
