Iowa State saw yet another player enter the transfer portal on Saturday in redshirt sophomore to-be Craig McDonald.

McDonald announced the news in a tweet:

The Minnesota native appeared in each of Iowa State’s final 12 games of the 2021 season.

In his first year of full eligibility, McDonald collected 41 tackles as well as a pair of interceptions for the Cyclones.

During his two seasons at Iowa State, McDonald earned Big 12 All-Academic Rookie Team and First Team All-Academic Big 12 honors.

He will have at least three years of eligibility remaining in his collegiate career.
