Iowa State senior place kicker Andrew Mevis kicks a field goal in the third quarter against Oklahoma State on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames.

Andrew Mevis recorded one of the best seasons an Iowa State kicker has had during his one year in Ames and he’ll get a chance to showcase that talent for NFL scouts in February.

The Warsaw, Ind. native will head to Mobile, Ala. this off-season to compete in the 2022 edition of the Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Mevis converted on 90 percent of his 20 kicks during his senior season, including a perfect 2-for-2 mark on kicks from 50 yards and beyond.

Also kicking for 51 touchbacks on 75 kickoff attempts, Mevis showed the leg strength to earn an invite to the game meant for NFL coaches to scout premier college talent.

The 2022 Senior Bowl will be played on Saturday, February 5 at South Alabama’s Hancock Whitney Stadium and televised live on the NFL Network.
