The Iowa State football program picked up its seventh known verbal commitment of its 2012 class on Saturday.

Adam Pavlenko, a 6-foot, 200-pound linebacker out of Marcos De Niza high school in Tempe, Ariz. pledged his commitment to Paul Rhoads according to sources.

According to his profile on Rivals.com, Pavlenko turned down scholarship offers from Air Force, Navy, Northern Arizona and Utah State. Pavlenko was credited with 133 tackles during his junior year of high school.
