Iowa State earned a commitment from 2026 three-star quarterback Kase Evans Sunday afternoon.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Lexington, Texas native was previously committed to Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys, but decommitted after Gundy was dismissed as head coach of the Cowboys.

What this means for the Cyclones?

Evans is the only quarterback commit in the 2026 class for the Cyclones. This comes after 4-star QB Jett Thomala decommitted from the Cyclones during the summer. Evans had offers from Oklahoma State, Abilene Christian, Arkansas State, FAU, Old Dominion, Texas State, Tulane, UTEP, and UTSA.
