The 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect earned his offer from Iowa State after a strong showing at the program’s prospect camp in early June. Afuye also holds offers from Minnesota and Northern Iowa.
What it means: Iowa State continues to build momentum on the recruiting trail, landing a quick and high-upside edge rusher in Afuye. He becomes the second defensive lineman to commit to the Cyclones in the 2026 class.
The 3-star prospect brings impressive size and athleticism to the table, giving Iowa State a more versatile group up front as it rounds out its defensive line unit.
