RECRUITING: Iowa State earns commitment from Omaha’s Amarion Jackson

Iowa State earned its latest commitment out of the 2026 class on Monday in ATH Amarion Jackson out of Omaha, Nebraska.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect announced his commitment over social media on Monday.

Jackson is rated as the No. 3 player in Nebraska by 247 Sports, and chooses the Cyclones over Iowa, K-State, Kansas, Minnesota, Illinois and Northwestern.

What it means: Iowa State is getting an all-around player in Jackson, who ramped up to 1,184 all-purpose yards during his most recent season at Millard South High School.

Jackson earned 778 yards on 50 receptions while going for seven touchdowns. Along with playing receiver, he grabbed a touchdown on both kickoff return and punt return, and held wide receivers without touchdowns on the defensive side of the ball as a free safety.

The Cyclones already have a pair of wide receivers committed to the 2026 class in Ames’ Jeffrey Roberts and Ohio’s Milan Parris. Another commit to the class in Kaprice Keith is also slated as an ATH prospect and could end up on both sides of the ball.

The timing of Jackson’s commitment exemplifies how strongly the program feels about him and gives it another option on where he would best be utilized.

The 2026 class: The Iowa State recruiting class is up to eight players for the cycle, and remains ahead of pace to a typical off-season in Ames.

With Jackson and Keith both potentially ending up on either side of the ball, the options will be around for Iowa State.

It’s early in the cycle, so more commitments are going to juice a team’s rating, but Iowa State is currently slated as the No. 18 class in the country on 247 Sports.
