Iowa State earned its latest commitment to the 2025 recruiting class Wednesday in 6-foot-6, 310-pound offensive tackle Jack Shaffer.

The Bismarck native is rated as the No. 64 offensive tackle in the class and the No. 2 prospect in North Dakota by 247 Sports.

Iowa State beat out Wisconsin, Kansas State, Duke, North Dakota State, and North Dakota to land its latest commitment.

Shaffer, a multi-sport athlete playing basketball as well as track & field in the off-season, brings Iowa State’s recruiting class to eight and he’s expected to return to Ames during the summer visits scheduled for June.

The commitment brings the 2025 recruiting class to No. 33 in the country.
