RECRUITING: Iowa State earns commitment from ’25 Oshkosh prospect

Iowa State men’s basketball earned its second commitment to the 2025 recruiting class on Saturday, and he’ll be the first Cyclone out of Oshkosh, Wisconsin since Tyrese Haliburton.

Xzavion Mitchell, a 6-foot-6 forward, becomes the second top 150 prospect to join the class. He announced his commitment over social media

Mitchell is rated as the No. 120 prospect in the country by the 247 Sports composite scale, and the No. 3 player out of Wisconsin.

He chose the Cyclones over other offers from Wisconsin and Cal Poly.

Below are a pair of highlights from some of Mitchell’s bigger performances – one where he suited up for Tyler Herro’s EYBL team against Duke commit Cooper Flagg.
