Iowa State earned its latest commitment from the transfer portal Friday in former Eastern Michigan running back Jaylon Jackson.

Jackson, a 5-foot-6, 168-pound back earned twice earned all-MAC honors during his time at Eastern Michigan, while increasing his productivity in each season as well.

The tailback, who’s originally from Burleson, Texas, rushed for 576 yards on 136 carries in 2023 and will have one year of eligibility remaining at Iowa State.

He’ll join returners Abu Sama, Carson Hansen, and A.J. Harris as well as 2024 signee Dylan Lee in the running backs room this season.

Jackson committed to Iowa State out of the portal over offers from Ohio, UTEP and East Carolina.
