INJURY REPORT: Singleton expected to return, Brock practicing with team

For it being week 11 of the college football season, Iowa State is in a spot some programs would do many things to be in, with an example being the team’s upcoming opponent.

While Oklahoma State has a multitude of players battling injuries, it’s not known whether or not if any will be coming back to the field on Saturday when the two teams square up in Stillwater.

Iowa State’s biggest question mark comes in running back Jirehl Brock, who finished Saturday’s game with four carries for 13 yards before getting banged up on the field and making a trip to the locker room.

Here’s everything coach Matt Campbell had to say about his running back:

“Jirehl, you know, we’ll see today when we go out to practice, but he was in practice on Sunday and kind of back at it,” Campbell said during his weekly press conference. “Where he is – we’ll probably know a little bit more as we go through the week, but at least physically able to get out and practice right now.”

Aside from Brock, only one player had concerns as far as availability for the next game would go.

J.R. Singleton did not play in Iowa State’s most recent pair of games against West Virginia and Oklahoma.

Campbell expects him to be back on the field Saturday.

“J.R. has just been dealing with an illness, really,” Campbell said during the press conference. “We think we’ll hopefully get him back and other than that, from an injury standpoint, we’re in a really good place.”
